DELIVERING QUALITY DESIGN

Our vision is shaped by a thorough and robust design process including an analysis of the site’s landscape, ecology, water and drainage, and local character.

The proposals will also address the sustainable development’s relationship with the rest of South Benfleet and the surrounding area. For example, we will be limiting development to two-storeys in height and planting new trees.

Our aim is that the scheme should provide a positive addition to South Benfleet, with important community benefits, and much-needed new housing including affordable homes.

Much-needed local housing

The development will provide up to 35 homes including much-needed affordable housing with associated infrastructure, gardens, and parking.

The properties will be set within an attractive streetscape to create a high-quality residential environment.

The new homes will include energy efficiency measures, and we will deliver high standards of sustainable construction to further reduce the scheme’s carbon footprint.

The development will deliver a mixture of housing sizes in line with national and local policies. It will also deliver much-needed affordable housing, helping Castle Point Borough Council to meet its targets.

  • Arrival: from designing external elevations and creating attractive street scenes through to maximising the flow and size of the rooms to meet modern lifestyle needs, we aim to create well-designed places that are functional, accessible, and sustainable
  • Proportion: the relocation of cloakrooms and kitchens has enabled deeper windows to be used on the property fronts creating well-proportioned, balanced elevations that maximise solar gain
  • Light: the size, positioning and number of windows has created bright and airy homes which relate positively to the private and public spaces around them
  • Movement: careful consideration has been given to the flow and layout of new homes to accommodate today’s lifestyles and facilitate flexibility in the way rooms can be used
  • Quality: the homes have been created to embrace modern design and styling, whilst retaining the classic architectural traditions on which Vistry Group, through Bovis Homes and Linden Homes, has built its heritage and brand since 1885
