OUR GREEN VISION

Vistry Group’s vision has a landscape-led approach, responding to the existing natural features at the proposal site at Glyders, South Benfleet.

We also intend to plant trees, creating an attractive green buffer around the new development.

Our landscaping plan also includes the provision of new public open space and proposals for a trim trail.

Other improvements will include improved pedestrian access and Sustainable Drainage Systems (also known as SuDS).

Additionally, our project team has carried out a full ecological survey of the site. As a result, we will ensure suitable habitats are created for any species that could be present, such as slow worms and badgers.

Regarding land slippage, Vistry Group is aware this has been an issue in the local area, so to ensure this matter is fully addressed, retaining walls and deeper foundations for the proposed new homes will be provided.

Sustainable Drainage

Any future planning application would be accompanied by a Flood Risk Assessment.

The document will demonstrate that following construction of the scheme, the risk of potential flooding on the site and elsewhere will not increase and the surface water drainage will comply with current national and local standards.

Our proposals will also illustrate how Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) can be incorporated into the scheme.
